Project: GCAC Dive Tower – Gold Coast Aquatic Centre
Client: City of Gold Coast
The dive tower refurbishment project at the Gold Coast Aquatic Centre focused on upgrading safety and compliance with Diving Australia guidelines. We replaced the existing horizontal balustrades with vertical balusters and posts to improve safety and transparency. The design was carefully planned to ensure judges had a clear and unobstructed view of the divers by finishing the balustrades 2-3 meters back from the platform edge. The project, which spanned four months, required meticulous coordination to minimize disruption, with the pool closed during work hours. This renovation has enhanced the dive tower’s functionality and safety, aligning it with the highest standards of competitive diving.
